Carry Your Cross

Recently I heard a thought-provoking adage that anyone can wear a cross around their neck, but it takes a commitment to our Lord Jesus to carry your cross every day. This isn't meant to be a jab at those of us who wear religious accessories, but to serve as a reminder that our work as Christians extends beyond putting on a necklace or that favorite pair of cross earrings. In Luke 9: 24, Jesus tells us, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." I pray that our vow to carry that cross be a focus for us each day!
