"The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again." Luke 24:7 NIV
Today is the day to celebrate that our Savior Jesus has been raised from the dead! The same power that raised Jesus is available to us, as a born again Christian. When we believe that Jesus died for the sins that we committed yesterday, today and tomorrow, and the sins of all creation we can have a new life with Him; an eternal life in Heaven! Now that is worth celebrating!! To be free from death and to be born again with the promise of life after death in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.
To be "born again" is to simply believe and repent (turn away from our old life) (John 3:3). Christ left us very clear instructions as believers (Mark 16:15 NIV). To go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation! You may be thinking, "I have never left my home country or state how am I suppose to tell the world?".
Here are some things we can be doing to spread the gospel to all creation from where ever we live currently:
Be bold in prayer
Ask God to show you people in your life that are away from Him or who may not know the Gospel. The Lord will create windows of opportunity for you to begin conversations and eventually go deeper. Start by letting God's love overflow into everything you do and say.
Ask to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit
Speak in new tongues, drive out demons and heal the sick. The miracles that Jesus preformed was with the power of the Spirit, the same Spirit that he breathed on the disciples (John 20:22 NKJV) is the same Holy Spirit we have access to, we just have to ask!
Intercession
Pray for the nations of the world and the church body that occupies those nations. "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Luke 10:2 NIV). The harvest is ready, so many people are ready and waiting to receive Jesus as their Lord, but the workers (people who are willing to be bold in faith and share the Gospel) are few. Pray that more workers would be bold to go out and share the word of God!
