From the bottom of my heart, I welcome you to the launch of this new project. In this first posting, I wanted to share my "why". My goal with this is to reveal how this project came into being, what my vision for this project is, and what you can expect in the future. With that being said, I wanted to welcome you all once again to Bonds In Ministry!
My heart for ministry has grown exponentially over the years, finally culminating into my vocational pursuits. There is a funny thing that happens when you encounter the living God of the universe, and he touches your heart. You almost can't help but to share Him in everything you do. This is my why. This is an avenue in which I feel called to share Christ with the people of the world! Matthew 28 offers us one of the most direct challenges in all of scripture. Known as "The Great Commission", Jesus instructs his disciples, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Mat. 28: 19-20, NIV). What a command! We are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that is the foundation of what we do here on this site.
I felt a big push out in the wilderness of Boquillas Canyon. The push came from the Holy Spirit, challenging me to think of different ways I can accomplish making Christ known. The birth of Bonds In Ministry occurred in my tiny house not even a week later. If you know me, you know I have always valued authenticity and honesty in relationships. It is foundational to what I believe, and who I am. When I asked myself, "how can I be open and honest, while also sharing Jesus...?", my mind was directed to a website such as this. This is my vision now; to be a place where people can come and feel personal connection, experience spiritual conversation in an authentic way, and encounter Jesus in the process. The first two elements listed are useless if the third is not met. That's why I personally promise to provide Christian perspective and insight that draws you closer or Jesus.
As this project continues, I pray that lives might be impacted. Expect thoughtful articles, lifestyle advice, and powerful testimonials, along with many other variations of content. Expect recurring contributors, and guest writers. Expect God to be glorified. Oh, and expect it all to be biblically based. I personally hold the scriptures to a very high degree, and have no intention of stopping that theme.
With all of that being said, thank you for joining us on this ride! We are stoked to get this thing started!
